Founded

Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation was born as India’s first and largest patient-led organization focused on diabetes. What started as a few voices online quickly grew into a nationwide movement driven by lived experiences and peer support.

Jan 2020

Launched the Blue Circle App

We launched the Blue Circle Diabetes app — India’s first diabetes app built by and for people living with diabetes. The app empowers users with tools to track blood sugar, connect with peers, and access vital resources in a supportive environment.

May 2022

Won the Facebook Accelerator

We won the prestigious Facebook Community Accelerator, recognizing our impactful work in the diabetes community. The program enabled us to scale our digital efforts and strengthen our tech and outreach initiatives.

May 2023

Represented India at the UN

Nupur Lalvani spoke at the UN Headquarters in New York, representing civil society at the multi-stakeholder hearings on health. As the only Indian panelist, she highlighted practical ways to ensure social participation in health. The hearings informed upcoming High-Level Meetings on UHC, TB, and pandemic preparedness.
